Andre Whaley has always had a passion for helping others.  Recently, Andre participated in a mission trip to Kenya to work with the Waweza Movement Rescue Center orphanage.  As a Licensed Social Worker, Andre was an essential piece of this particular mission focused on supporting hunger relief and clean water programs, and behavioral health mentoring for the community.

“We worked with the local YMCA in Kenya to establish a long term food program. The land will be gardened by the villagers who will not only be able to feed their families but sell their products for a profit in local markets,” explained Andre.  Andre also provided counseling to the children in the village, having over a decade of behavioral health experience.

Community First employees continue to make a difference in the lives of others, near and far.

Andre recently expanded his role the organization, transitioning from the Connections Coordinator at Community Behavioral Health to Business Development and Partnership Coordinator for Community First Solutions.  In his new role, Andre will nurture key relationships with referral sources including area health systems that connect clients to our services.  He will work closely with the health services and marketing teams to strategically develop ways to increase referrals to Jamestowne Inpatient & Outpatient Therapy, and other service lines.
