There are stars whose light only reaches the earth long after they have fallen apart. There are people whose remembrance gives light in this world, long after they have passed away. -The Talmud
Memorial and tribute gifts are meaningful ways to celebrate, honor, and remember a family member, teacher, close friend, pastor, or business colleague—any special person in your life. You may also choose to make a memorial or tribute gift to mark an important occasion, such as a birthday, retirement, anniversary, or wedding.
Gifts can be directed to a specific fund whose purpose may have special meaning for the honoree or family and are tax-deductible. Community First will send the honoree or the closest family member of the deceased an acknowledgement stating a gift was received, without mentioning the amount of the donation.
Gifts can be made online or mailed to the Community First Solutions Office of Development.
While cards and flowers are always appreciated, there is no more meaningful way to honor a special life than by ensuring their memory lives on to help others.
You can invite friends and family to join in the this lasting tribute by including the following in the obituary notice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community First Solutions to benefit (state your area of interest here). Please send your gift to

If we are made aware prior to any services that Community First was chosen as a designated memorial, we will send personalized memorial envelopes to the memorial service location or funeral home.
Cumulative memorial gifts of $1,500 or more in memory of residents who lived at Westover or Berkeley Square are recognized on the memorial walls at those communities.
Honor Someone Special
Often residents, patients, clients or family members offer gifts to employees as an act of kindness or to show appreciation for caring services. Since staff members at Community First cannot accept gifts or gratuities, including money, gift certificates, tickets, bequests, loans, or any item of value from residents, clients, patients or family members, the Honor Someone Special program was created.
Honor Someone Special provides individuals, whose lives have been touched by our staff, the opportunity to make a gift in their honor. The program also encourages the donor to send a personal message to the staff member recognized. Although a formal Honor Someone Special campaign is conducted each December, gifts in honor of staff are encouraged at anytime.
