The New Year can be a good time for people to look at things from a fresh perspective. It offers an opportunity for people to find the motivation to make a change. Change sometimes can be scary, especially when you choose to do something as life altering as getting sober.
Like all journeys into the unknown, the first step can be the scariest. Especially when you don’t know where to start. The first step toward recovery is walking through our front door and having a one-on-one conversation with a counselor during open assessment hours at our Middletown or Hamilton location.
An individual assessment allows our skilled counselors to learn about you and your situation. They will ask you a series of questions ranging from when you started using, when you last used, and how it is affecting your life. They also want to understand your support system, and your goals so that they can develop a treatment plan to maximize your success. While it can be scary to speak honestly about your addiction, you will l find that our counselors will not judge you or your situation. They understand that addiction is a disease, and they can connect you with a network of programs and resources to help you achieve – and maintain – sobriety. When you walk out the door, you will have a plan to get better.
Depending on your unique situation, we offer a variety of individual and group programs and counseling opportunities, as well as medication assisted treatment. We understand that there are barriers that make seeking treatment difficult and offer a variety of other solutions including transportation, mental health support, pharmacy, and family support services.
